Our little farm in the Byron Bay Hinterland.
What kind of farm is Cheyenne?
We grow.
We grow Lemonade Fruit. In 2016 we planted our first 200 Lemonade fruit trees and today we have an orchard with 800 lemonade fruit trees. We have started our agroforestry journey and added Eucalyptus trees (to use as mulch). We harvest and look after them with love.
We raise.
We raise low-emission beef Tuli Cattle. We have around 50 cows and a bull, we feed them seaweed to reduce carbon emissions. The Tuli Cattle is a Zimbabwean breed brought to Australia because of their adaptability, maternal strength, moderate frame and low maintenance hardiness.
We are sustainable.
We turn our Camphor Laurels trees into chopping boards. In the Northern Rivers, you’ll see a lot of Camphor Laurel’s trees around, they strangle beautiful natives like Moreton Bay Figs. So we turn these pests into beautiful, usable chopping boards.
We need hands.
We’re currently looking for farm hands to assist with our Lemonade Fruit trees, regenerative agriculture practices, and general farm work. If you have this experience on farming and sustainable practices, we’d love to hear from you.
Lemonade Fruit
Lemonade Fruit are a delicious hybrid fruit with a mix of the sweetness of a mandarin and the punch of a lemon. An absolute perfect combination.
